Ragfinery is hosting its 3rd annual Upcycle Runway Challenge Fundraiser! Every year brave participants of all skill levels are tasked with transforming castaway materials into runway-ready designs. This exciting event is a celebration of creativity and community as we come together to be inspired, witnessing local artists and craftspeople transforming ordinary into extraordinary.
This year’s theme, Cirque du Couture, draws inspiration from the popular performance ensemble, Cirque du Soleil, offering participants fantastical imagery from which to springboard their upcycled designs. With the support of enthusiastic community members, participants will walk the red carpet runway for a panel of local judges, and awards will be presented in six categories on the night of the show.
Cirque du Couture aims to both raise awareness and funds for Ragfinery, a job training program operated by nonprofit organization ReUse Works. Our 501(c)(3) mission is to reduce landfill waste, promote job training, and create opportunities for the community to engage and learn about the importance of waste reduction. All tickets, sponsors, and donations further our mission in these areas, and are sincerely appreciated.
Join us for a lively exhibition of local talent, food, wine, entertainment, and awards, all in the name of raising funds for Ragfinery’s unique nonprofit project.
