Collage is always fun, but have you tried it with silk and wool? Participants will create a scarf in colors and fabrics of their choice, using pieces of reclaimed silk and wool to match. Then the fun begins as we design unique wearable art scarves!
Participant and Materials Requirements: Please bring a collection of recycled silk chiffon fabrics (approximately 2 yards), 2 oz of merino wool roving (be sure it is not super wash merino), a pair of sharp full size scissors, and 2 old towels you don’t mind staining. Rolling mats, soap, sprayers, buckets…and some special “bling” will be provided. Wear comfortable shoes! Shop early and often for best selection of upcyclable materials at Ragfinery.
Note: There will be no set lunch break, so please bring snacks and/or lunch to eat during class.
