In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of sewing on a machine, become familiar with different stitches, and create your own fabric collage. This workshop is perfect for beginners or experienced sewers looking to learn a new technique. Ages 16+
Impact: Scraps of fabric, often too small or oddly shaped to use for other projects, are diverted from the waste stream.

About the Instructor: Emma Young is a multi medium artist who enjoys painting, knitting, crocheting, textile work, and jewelry creating, among many other mediums. She has been sewing for as long as she can remember. When she was 8 years old she got her own sewing machine and has been working her way through life with it ever since! She currently teaches classes and independent clients, as well as doing consignment sewing and tailoring as an independent contractor. She loves repurposing clothes and textiles to give them a second life!
