Participant and Material Requirements
Used sweater (or two). Make sure your sweaters are clean and moth free. If you get your sweater from Ragfinery, Goodwill, Value Village or a similar shop, pre-wash it on delicate and cold (low spin) and hang to dry. Try NOT to felt it since felted sweaters are too thick for this project. Thread to match. Buttons to sew on (if you desire) – not required.

Tools: Sewing machine (bring your own or rent one from Ragfinery below) with power cord, foot pedal and cord, bobbin case, bobbin, sewing machine needles, standard sewing foot or zig zag foot if your machine has a specific foot for that stitch. NOTE: Your machine MUST be able to sew a zig zag stitch to make this project. Also, scissors, stitch ripper, pins, and chalk o liner or other fabric marker.
