In this popular week-long camp we will play with ways to make plain fabric fabulous. Using dye, prints, embroidery, applique and sun prints we will turn reclaimed fabric into colorful flags. Each participant will finish with a unique banner made from their flags and loads of inspiration and resources to customize projects at home. Pack a sack lunch and be ready to get messy with your creativity!
Requirements: No experience necessary, but participants must be able to safely handle scissors, needles and carving tools. All materials provided.
Dates: Monday to Friday, 7/9 – 7/13
Time: 10am to 2pm each day
Instructor: Libby Chenault is a local fiber artist, mother and popular workshop teacher around town. This will be her third summer of leading kids camps at Ragfinery. During the week, Libby works with kids of all abilities as a paraeducator at Carl Cozier Elementary School.
