Note: This summer camp takes place Monday-Friday, July 6-10 from 10 am to 2 pm daily.
Bring the magic with this adventure-filled, Harry Potter inspired summer camp! Through games, storytelling, and hands-on fiber arts activities, kids will experience the exciting world of witchcraft and wizardry. Make a felt tie in your house colors, create your very own house spell book, needle felt your own owl, felt a golden snitch and play a game of “quidditch”. Whether you’ve read the Harry Potter books or not, these projects will be fun and magical for all! Ages 7+
Impact: Discarded textiles, small scraps of fabric and wool are diverted from the waste stream to make unique creations, while teaching kids textile craft skills.
Participant and Materials Requirements: No previous sewing experience necessary, but participants must be able to safely handle scissors and other tools. All materials provided. Please bring a snack, lunch, and water.
About the Instructor: Natalia Robinson is obsessed with all things naturally made by hand. She lived in New Zealand and Guatemala studying felting, weaving, natural dyeing, spinning, and sewing. A graduate of the Evergreen State College, she created her own major in fiber arts and early childhood education. Every day is a good day to make art and play! Learn more at feralfelt.com
