Make do and mend, a rallying cry for self-sufficiency in wartime Britain holds new significance in today’s throw away culture. Practice hand repair techniques—embroidery, surface application, darning, and more—in a two-hour workshop on artistic mending and re-purposing of garments. Bring materials to focus on one repair method and a garment in need of TLC!
Participant Requirements: Depending on your chosen method of repair, possible materials include: embroidery thread, assorted needles, thimbles, fabric scraps, pins, fabric pencils, wool roving, and felting needles.
