“Mending” refers to the act of repairing damaged garments using skills such as patching holes, tears & loose seams, replacing buttons, and darning knitwear to extend their lifespan.
Do you have a garment or two that have holes, tears, missing buttons or ripped seams? Bring them to this workshop where mending volunteers from Ragfinery will provide instruction on how to address these problems and teach the skills needed to fix them in real time. Participants will gain insight into what tools are absolutely necessary to take matters into their own hands and have the confidence to mend their own garments at home.
Join us at the Blaine WCLS branch to learn these skills and keep your favorite items in rotation!
All mending/repair materials and notions will be provided. Space is limited; registration is required. Visit WCLS.libcal.com to register.
